Spaghetti Eating in Cathedral: Bishop Hermann Glettler of Innsbruck, Austria, hosted “Pasta for Everyone” in Innsbruck Cathedral on Sunday. Groups of 100 guests shared a meal during 30-minute sittings, allowing a total of 800 people to participate over four hours. According to Bishop Glettler, the event was designed to encourage people to “engage in conversation together—curious and attentive to another person, sharing a table with someone you did not choose.” Donations collected during the evening supported services for homeless people.

Dr. Mark was a world-renowned oncologist. One day, he boarded a flight to catch a major medical conference in another city, where he was scheduled to receive a prestigious lifetime achievement award for his groundbreaking cancer research. However, about an hour after takeoff, the plane experienced a mechanical emergency and was forced to make an unscheduled landing at a small regional airport. Determined to make it to the event, Dr. Mark rented a car and hit the highway. But shortly after he set off, the weather took a turn for the worst. A brutal storm rolled in, bringing torrential rain and heavy winds. The downpour was so intense that his phone lost its data connection, causing Google Maps to glitch. He took a wrong turn, missed his exit, and got completely turned around. After two hours of driving in circles down dark, unfamiliar backroads, he realized he was hopelessly lost. Starving, exhausted, and running on fumes, he scanned the landscape for anywhere he could pull over. Finally …Yana
Rorate-Caeli.blogspot.com published on June 16 a report about a recent pilgrimage in Italy with a priest of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP). - This group was denied the celebration of Mass at the Shrine of San Giovanni Rotondo (Padre Pio) and instead celebrated Mass in a hotel basement. - At the Basilica in Assisi, they were also denied permission to celebrate Mass in Latin, and they noted that an Orthodox Divine Liturgy was taking place at the same time. - At Loreto, the group was initially denied permission to celebrate Mass, but the priest was finally able to convince the local authorities. However, in Loreto, there was a station for 'Dialogue and Listening' (pictured). Rather than a priest, a nun was 'listening' without a veil and wearing some kind of Roman collar. #newsWfzjowokcn
Christian Nationalism’s Dark Forebears nytimes.com/…/14/opinion/christian-nationalism-ma… June 14, 2026 By David French Opinion Columnist I just finished an extraordinarily illuminating book. It’s not new — it was first published in 2001 — but if you follow the growth and influence of Christian nationalism in the United States, it feels fresh. It’s by the British historian Julian Jackson, an expert on the French experience in World War II, and it’s called “France: The Dark Years, 1940-1944.” It’s about the regime that emerged after France’s catastrophic defeat in World War II. And as strange as this might sound, reading about the Vichy government is like reading a MAGA Christian fever dream. The nation that the Catholic Vichy nationalists constructed in the unoccupied portion of France is very much like the world that American Christian nationalists are trying to build. If you read the words “Vichy France,” to the extent that they register at all, one word is likely to come to …Yana

Today, the Cathedral serves as a parish church. Several local restaurateurs jointly prepared the dinner, while local politicians and other guests dined inside the church. Before the meal, a table prayer was recited. As host, Dean Fr. Gerfried Sitar welcomed the guests. During the evening, the clergyman was also awarded the Gold Plaque of the City of St. Andrä.

Ten nowy projekt również wybucha mu w twarz, gdy ten raport dokumentuje: Albańscy prokuratorzy antykorupcyjni właśnie zamrozili brudne aktywa Kushnera w $4 miliardowej sondzie oszustw resortowych. Według albańskiej reporterki Lindity Cely, prokuratorzy antykorupcyjni zamrozili konta firmy zajmującej się gospodarstwem ziemskim zaangażowanej w plany luksusowego kurortu Kushnera o wartości 4 miliardów dolarów. Bishop Appointed by Leo XIV Backs ‘Female Pope’ Campaign The Diocese of St. Gallen, Switzerland, launched its "I’m In" ("Ich bin dabei") campaign on May 4 across 25 towns and villages. The billboard, web and social media campaign features clergy, church employees and volunteers posing provocative questions. One poster shows a pastoral worker asking: “Shall we pave the way for the election of the first female Pope?” — followed by the campaign’s signature response: "I’m in." Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Beat Grögli as Bishop of St. Gallen in May 2025, despite his publicly known support for the ordination of women

Pope Leo XIV published today a video message for the climate World Summit in Vienna, Austria. He called for a "just transition" to new economic models, urged wealthy nations to provide greater financial support, and advocated the development of a new international financial framework. All this is presented within the façade and language of Catholic social teaching and care for creation and the poor. Three key quotes, emphasis added. - "These challenges [peace, natural resources, climate change] require international cooperation, together with cohesive and forward-looking multilateralism in order to find effective solutions." - "It is not merely desirable but also genuinely possible that the progress at COP30 [United Nations’ climate summit] can be followed up with a just transition toward societies where the common good takes precedence over profit, and economic models are rooted in solidarity and human dignity. Yet, this requires wealthier countries to meet their obligations to …Yana
Leo XIV on the SSPX consecrations — “I am considering making another appeal and saying ‘don't do this, let's try to live the communion of the Church.’ But it is their choice. We must realize what it means for them and for the Church. Certainly, the division among Christians is a painful point. However, they refuse to accept some fundamental elements of the Church, starting with several points of the Second Vatican Council. If they make that choice, I am sorry. But we must move forward”
Il Pontefice annuncia pure che verrà esteso un altro appello ai lefebvriani: “La divisione nella Chiesa è sempre un dolore”
On Saturday, more than 1,000 Catholics took part in a Eucharistic Rosary procession through Derry in Northern Ireland. The procession was part of the first Worldwide Marian Procession, held in conjunction with around 400 parishes and 50 Marian shrines worldwide. The public prayer, which brought the streets to a standstill, was supported by Bishop Donal McKeown of Derry.
In our time, authority is deeply discredited, both in society and in the Church, whether because of excess or deficiency. This was said by Father Francisco Rivera, 46, on June 14 in an interview with VidaNuevaDigital.com. He was elected on May 20 as the new abbot of the Cistercian Monastery of Santa María de Huerta in Soria, Spain. It is one of Spain’s great monasteries and one of the most important historic houses of the Cistercian Order. Father Rivera acknowledged that the number of vocations has declined drastically: “We can blame the world, its values or lack of them, young people, social media, and so on. But I believe consecrated life must also undertake a rigorous examination of conscience. Perhaps we have become a kind of tasteless salt. And we know what the Lord Jesus says in the Gospel about that.” For the new abbot, the best vocation campaign is “to live, in our case, a serious and coherent monastic life, in fidelity to our monastic commitments and to the Rule of Saint …Yana
If You Don’t Know How to Respect, Stay Alone If you are not willing to be faithful, honest, and respectful, then do not ask for someone’s heart. A relationship is not a prize to win or a title to wear—it is a commitment that requires loyalty, responsibility, and love. The woman who stands beside you is not there to be taken for granted. She gives her time, her energy, her patience, and often parts of herself to help build a home filled with warmth, stability, and care. She wears many roles every day—caregiver, teacher, counselor, cook, supporter, and partner—often without recognition or applause. Yet some people throw all of that away for a fleeting moment of attention, forgetting the value of the person who has stood beside them through every challenge and sacrifice. Infidelity is not an accident. It is a choice. A choice that damages trust, wounds dignity, and shakes the very foundation of a relationship. The pain it causes reaches far beyond the moment—it affects the person who …Yana
An Illinois judge ruled last week that the Archdiocese of Chicago may continue its lawsuit against a group of people accused of making false sexual abuse claims. The lawsuit, filed in 2025, says that more than two dozen people took part in a plan to make false abuse accusations in order to receive money from settlement payments by the archdiocese. According to court documents, the group allegedly recruited people to make claims, coached them on what to say, and shared the money received from settlements. The archdiocese says its investigation was helped by recorded prison phone calls in which the alleged scheme was discussed. The recent ruling does not decide whether the allegations are true. It only rejects efforts to dismiss the case and allows the Archdiocese's lawsuit to continue. The abuse claims involve former priest Daniel McCormack, who pleaded guilty in 2007 to several counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and has many confirmed victims. Cardinal Blase Cupich said the Church …Yana
Tue Jun 16, 2026 - 1:38 pm EDTTue Jun 16, 2026 - 6:38 pm EDT (LifeSiteNews) — Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, while speaking before the start of the G7 summit, implied that no one country or institution could be left out of or defy a “new world order.” “What one can’t do at this point in a rapidly shifting world order is to rely on one set of institutions, one grouping, one country to provide the answers,” Carney said to reporters on June 14, while in County Mayo, Ireland, on his way to the G7 summit in France, which is taking place from June 15 to 17. While in Dublin, a day before his County Mayo remarks, Carney said that the G7 is where the “New World Order” begins. “The new world order will be built starting with Europe,” he said. “Canada is the most European of non-European countries. We are transforming our cooperation with Europe.” “It’s a recognition that the G7, if it ever did run the world, no longer runs the world or pretends to,” Carney said. Carney has globalist ties…
"All Churches, Mosques, and Synagogues Are Sacred": Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger of Detroit spoke at the dedication of the new mosque in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, on June 5. He said there was nowhere he felt greater honor, fraternity, and kindness, and that he had sensed "the divine presence" from the moment he arrived. Echoing the imam, he said that all present belong to the same human family and described all churches, mosques, and synagogues alike as "sacred" places where God reaches out to humanity - places that would bring "all of humanity" into deeper communion with "our one God."

Protestant Prayer and the Catholic Mass as “Different Pathways to God”: “Catholic” U.S. Vice President JD Vance appeared to relativize the Catholic Church and the Eucharist during a June 16 interview on Fox & Friends. Speaking about what he called the strength of “the American church,” Vance emphasized the diversity of [contradicting] Christian denominations: “You can't be an American Catholic or an American Pentecostal or an American Southern Baptist without running into someone who has a slightly different perspective on faith.” He added: “It's all about Jesus.” Vance sees "different ways" by which people find God: “Different ways, sometimes with 'snake handlers' [evangelicals in Kentucky], sometimes with speaking in tongues, sometimes with a beautiful Catholic mass, but I think all these pathways really matter and they're part of the reason why we do find our path to God.”
JD Vance: "One of the things I love about the American church is there are all of these different pathways to God ... sometimes with snake handlers, sometimes with speaking in tongues, sometimes with a beautiful Catholic mass. But I think all of these pathways really matter."
