Bishop Johan Bonny of Antwerp, Belgium, told LaLibre.be on September 14 about his plan, announced already in March, to ordain married men to the priesthood by 2028. In June, he informed two Curia Cardinals about his course of action: Cardinal Lazarus You Heung-sik, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Clergy, and Cardinal Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops. Monsignor Bonny claims that the move is driven "by necessity", pointing to the acute shortage of priests in Flanders. Antwerp diocese has fewer than 70 priests under the age of 70, two-thirds of whom are from abroad. The Cardinals replied that they would discuss it with Pope Leo XIV. Bishop Strickland rejects yesterday's Vatican document marking 60 years of Nostra Aetate. The writer interprets invisible cases of the baptism of desire as being visible exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus of the Council of Florence. He also interprets invisible cases of LG 8, 14, 16, UR 3, etc as being visible exceptions for the dogma EENS, the Athanasius Creed and an ecumenism of return of the Syllabus of Pius IX. There is no comment or correction from the SSPX which interprets the Nicene Creed with visible instead of invisible cases of LG 16. They also interpret the other Creeds irrationally. For me Feeneyism refers to seeing what is invisible as being invisible only. While Cushingism refers to seeing what is invisible as being visible. Brent Bowman suddenly weeping during the consecration at Mass in Hopkins, Minnesota, on September 14. On September 16, Rev. Bowman issued a clarification. He said that during the consecration of the wine, he had a private spiritual experience. The chalice felt so heavy that he could no longer hold it up, and he felt his hands “fixed” to it, temporarily unable to move it.
