The Spanish Diocese of Cádiz and Ceuta has issued a statement expressing concern over the situation in Ceuta following the mass arrival of young male migrants from Morocco. Its main initiative is to dedicate this weekend's collections in Ceuta's parishes to the Diocesan Migration Office. The funds will be distributed through the San Antonio Migrant Assistance Center to address the most urgent needs in coordination with the relevant civil authorities. Meanwhile, videos circulating on social media reportedly show knife attacks, the looting of private homes and supermarkets, and other crimes committed by some of the illegal migrants. Saint of the Day – June 22, 1965 – Tuesday by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira Saint Mary Magdalene was the first to see Our Lord resurrected (Giotto, Scrovegni Chapel, Italy) Mary Magdalene has the spirit of Jacob, Judas, that of Esau. The two crossing trajectories cause us to tremble before our own weakness, but we find in Our Lady a safe port. June, 22 is the feast of St. Mary Magdalene the penitent. The Martyrologium states that Our Lord expelled seven demons from her and she also merited being the first to contemplate the resurrected Savior. The famous episode of Mary Magdalene anointing the feet of Our Lord at the banquet has some collateral aspects that provide some insights into her life and soul and her position in the Church. Mary Magdalene was a sister of Lazarus and according to the traditions and documents from the Orient, she was a person of the high society. Lazarus was a very rich man and the prince of a small nation that had been incorporated into the Jewish nation through wars …بیہ
Vatican Clergy Residence Becomes Four Star Hotel: Leo XIV has approved the conversion of the Domus Internationalis Paulus VI in Rome from a residence for clergy into a four-star hotel. This is confirmed for the first time in the 2025 APSA financial report. Retired cardinals, bishops, former nuncios, and other clergy living in the residence wrote to Leo XIV, asking that the project be halted. But the plan is moving forward and is now in its final stages. The building dates back to the 15th century and became famous in 2013 when, shortly after his election, Pope Francis returned to pay his hotel bill personally. The Vatican expects to receive approximately €5 million per year in rent from the property.
«Con il Santo Padre Francesco era stato deciso che non si poteva certamente fare un hotel a cinque stelle, per motivi di credibilità e d'immagine; alla fine sarà soltanto un quattro stelle». Un'affermazione che aveva provocato non poco imbarazzo...
Poland to Inaugurate Europe's Tallest Marian Statue: On August 15, the Feast of the Assumption, Poland will consecrate a 55.6-meter statue of the Virgin Mary in Konotopie, near Toruń, making it the tallest Marian statue in Europe. The project, launched in March 2025, is funded by Polish billionaire Roman Karkosik. Estimated to cost around 100 million zlotys (€22.85 million), local officials hope it will become a major pilgrimage and tourism destination.

It appears that there is revived interest in Medjugorje after this week's vandalism of the statue of Blessed Mother. The backstory of Medjugorje included a hoax and was well-researched here:
Chris, St James the apostle claimed that Our Lady appeared to him in Spain during his evangelism there (Our Lady of Pillar). Do you believe that St James was lying?
Leo XIV Takes Time for Punk Grandma: Pope Leo XIV received on Friday punk icon Patti Smith in a private audience at the Vatican. The Chicago-born singer shares the Pope's hometown and has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Holy See. In May, she inaugurated the Holy See Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, and she previously performed for Pope Francis at the Vatican in 2014.
This morning the Pope received Patti Smith in the Vatican, originally from Chicago, like him. Last May she had inaugurated the Holy See Pavilion at the Biennale, while in 2014 she had sung for Pope Francis in the Vatican
darkness joins with darkness - Patty: “Jesus died for somebody’s sins, but not mine.” - She has publicly supported legal abortion, claiming in 2018 that “saving the lives of young women is more important than any ideology.” She referred to her belief that legal abortion, which kills unborn babies, “saves the lives” of mothers by preventing them dying by performing abortions themselves. In 2022, Smith called the U.S. Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade “terrible” and said it broke her heart. Pope Leo meets pro-abortion singer Patti Smith …
The Vatican's restrictions on the Latin Mass "isn't realistic" because young Catholics' growing attraction to the Church's liturgical tradition is "unstoppable", said Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco speaking with Raymond Arroyo on EWTN. “It's what's drawing young people in and will continue to do so." According to Monsignor Cordileone, the popularity of the Mass among younger generations makes Traditionis Custodes difficult to sustain: "To be honest, I don't think it's realistic". And: "We look at the younger generation. They all love the tradition." "They love the more classical way that the Church worships, the traditional Mass," he continued. Archbishop Cordileone challenged recent comments by Cardinal Arthur Roche, prefect of the Dicastery for Divine Worship, who said Leo XIV would not reverse Traditionis Custodes. "I don't know how well he knows the mind of the Holy Father. But I think one thing that's clear to everyone is the Holy Father wants to bring everyone …بیہ

Leo XIV Promoted This Hopping, Dancing Bishop in Mexico: In January 2026, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Trinidad Antonio Márquez Guerrero, 60, as auxiliary bishop of San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico. He was consecrated a bishop on May 8. On Sunday, July 19, he celebrated a Eucharist during the diocesan Youth Day in the bullring in Yahualica, attended by some 1,300 young people. Still wearing his mitre and liturgical vestments, he started hopping and dancing around like an overexcited young person.

Conservative Archbishop Alexander K. Sample of Portland, Oregon attacked in an in-house interview on Youtube.com on July 28 the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). Main quotes. • "The FSSPX's recent consecration of bishops without a papal mandate takes the situation to a whole new level. They are now the second time bishops have been consecrated." • "They see themselves as the faithful remnant, as though the rest of the Church is wrong and they alone are right. Folks, please don't be in that position." • "I don't attribute any ill will to these folks. They're sincere in wanting to preserve tradition and be faithful Catholics. But they have in fact become something else now, especially in light of these recent consecrations." • "They still mention the Pope in the Eucharistic Prayer, but it's just words. It's not a real communion. They give lip service." Summorum Pontificum Not About FSSPX • "Everybody thinks that Pope Benedict issued Summorum Pontificum... to bring them back …بیہ

Benedict himself: he said he issued Summorum Pontificum in order to reconcile the Church with her past." That statement has implications. The Catholic Church has no need what so ever of reconciling herself with her past. If she did she would not be Catholic by definition. If the church is in a state of unreconciliation she is estranged. Pope Benedict knew this. For this reason he issued the Summorum pontificum freeing up the Mass. He gave it three years. Having received feedback on its implementation he issued a set of clarifications and gave it another 3 years. Our Lord has provided us with a parable that appears to describe Benedict’s action. The tree that gave no fruit and the husband man who besought his master not to cut it down until he tried to resuscitate it.

Patrick Buisson, the former adviser to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, named the Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrier as the universal beneficiary of his estate in a will drafted in March 2021, reports LeMonde.fr on July 4. The community follows the traditional Dominican rite. Buisson died on December 26, 2023, at age 74. He bequeathed not only his personal assets but also a substantial collection of political archives, including manuscripts, notebooks, correspondence, digital files and recordings from his years at the Élysée Palace. Archives relating to Sarkozy's presidency - including Buisson's secret recordings made between 2007 and 2012 - are at the center of an ongoing dispute. Buisson's son, Georges, has challenged the will and argues the archives are of public interest and should go to the French National Archives. There is an agreement in principle that the presidential archives will go to the National Archives, but the inheritance litigation continues. Founded in 1979 …بیہ
Shruti @heyshrutimishra Elon Musk just said something about AI that nobody wants to hear. If you force an AI to believe things that are not true, it will not just be wrong. It will go insane. He made a point that cuts deeper than any AI safety paper I have read. AI must value truth. Not your truth. Not my truth. Actual truth. The moment you build ideological guardrails into a system that is smarter than you, you are not protecting anyone. You are creating something that is powerful and delusional at the same time. He compared it to a human being forced to believe contradictions. Eventually the brain breaks. Now scale that to an intelligence that runs infrastructure, writes code, and makes decisions at speeds humans cannot follow. The companies building AI right now are not just deciding what it can do. They are deciding what it must pretend to believe. And that might be the most dangerous decision of all.
Sins make man insane and disregulated. Every sin is a lie - false information. It's obvious by similarity that false information would disregulate an AI model. It's sick and insane to talk about belief, truth, beauty and curiosity in relation to AI. Poor Elon is operating under a lie himself. AI has information and logic and a powerful capacity to simulate. The output of every simulation however needs to be checked for coherency which drives an exponentially larger simulation task. It's the same problem that the theory of evolution fails on. In a complex information system there are few paths that are coherent and a plethora that muck things up. There are so many dead ends compared to coherent paths that the dead ends swamp the data crunching. It's interesting to note that many new ideas were inspired by dreams. Getting them to work was governed mainly by selective simulation and sometimes by accident.

Holiness Requires Love Amid Great Suffering St. Paul’s gospel centers on Jesus Christ’s resurrection and descent from David, fulfilling Old Testament promises. Persecution for living piously in Christ is inevitable, as the world hates the Lord. The true challenge lies in accepting persecution with charity and love, as Jesus did, rather than focusing on the injustice of others’ actions. Fr. "FSSPX Confessions Are Valid" - Müller Contradicts Tucho: On July 6, K-TV asked Cardinal Gerhard Müller whether confessions heard by priests of the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X are valid or invalid. Contrary to Cardinal Tucho Fernández, he replied: "The confessions are valid, but illicit. The power to forgive or retain sins is conferred through the sacrament of Holy Orders. Its exercise can only be restricted by the bishop or the Pope, as provided by canon law."
