The Lepanto Institute has asked Pope Leo XIV to laicize and suspend Fr. Steve Rosera of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. In an August 2025 report, Lepanto stated that Rosera entered a registered homosexual domestic partnership in San Francisco that lasted ten years during a 28-year leave from public ministry.
